A hybrid sneaker, the design incorporates stylistic elements from moccasins, work boots and high top sneakers. The shoe sports a moc-toe design around the toe box, tonal paneling silver eyelets, and a thick, white rubber sole with aggressive tread detailing. Crafted from rich black leather with a supple leather lining and padded tongue, these sneakers will only get better with age.

 In an attempt to actualize a hybrid version of the omnipresent brogue styling, adidas SLVR line unveils a sporty take of the dress shoe as part of its forthcoming lineup. Parallel with the line’s more contemporary design format, the shoe features a formal silhouette, decked with buckle strap and some contrast fabrics depending on the color variant. In addition, the shoe sits atop of a waffled sole unit, which complements to the overall quirky concept. In three different colorways, the shoe comes in black with a hint of lime, royal blue and minimalist white.

Offered up is a preview into the new footwear option from adidas’s contemporary SLVR line for Spring 2012, called the Buckle Run. As the new model name hints, the shoe features an interesting buckle strap design on the upper portion, which tightens and accentuates the sharp silhouette. Offered in two versions, the shoe comes in either a minimalist or vibrant variant.

Another addition to the impressive lineup of adidas SLVR this year comes courtesy of the High Top Buckle shoe. A key element to several releases, some buckle detailing accentuates the minimalist design that’s cloaked in dominant black leather and nylon mesh. In line with its avant-garde concept, the sneakers come with a complex closure allowing the buckles and Velcro straps to work cohesively.

Maison Kitsune x Oliver Peoples 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

Inspired by the quality and craftsmanship of the California-based luxury eyewear label, Maison Kitsune has tapped Oliver Peoples for a collaborative collection of eyewear for Spring/Summer 2013. Meant to coincide with the opening of Miason Kitsune’s upcoming Tokyo storefront, the collection pays homage to both the Japanese metropolis and the French capital and features the optical “Tokyo” frames alongside the “Paris” sunglasses. Both designs take cues from vintage eyewear designs of the 1950s and boast an overall minimalist aesthetic with intricate detailing and premium construction. The entirety of the collection is due to be available soon with the Vintage Brown Tortoise colorway of each design available exclusively at Oliver Peoples and Maison Kitsune boutiques across the globe.

I was given a Canon EOS M recently and I have carried it around my neck everywhere I went for the past couple weeks. I totally felt like an Asian tourist visiting Europe for the first time. The Canon EOS M is fairly new and it combines the big sensor, image quality and interchangeable lens system of a DSLR with the size of a small compact camera. The result is a perfect everyday camera that you will bring everywhere you go. I would love to bring my Canon EOS 5D with me but it is simply too bulky and heavy for that, so I was happy when I heard about the EOS M. Combined with the 22mm lens (equivalent to 35mm full frame) it is a really compact combo and gives me the same field of view as my Yashica T4. You have to see the camera in person to see how small it actually is. There is also an adapter that allows me to use my Canon EF lenses with the EOS M. If you read reviews about the EOS M on the internet, you will see that a lot of people are complaining about the slow autofocus. I personally think the autofocus is fast enough (obviously depends on your photography style) but it's true that you probably can't capture any fast moving object. The handling is pretty straight forward and easy with people in mind wanting to upgrade from a compact camera but there are all the manual mode and settings too you know from your DSLR to appeal to professionals as well. The touchscreen works like a charm much to my surprise. I will let the pictures below speak for themselves and keep an eye on my photo blog too as I will publish more photos there over the next couple days.
